About the project

The project builds on the work initiated in Phase I of the WHLF and aims to enhance the economic resilience of women in the Kharkiv region who have been affected by the war. Phase II includes online events on financial literacy, employment, entrepreneurship, and professional development, which will be simultaneously streamed in the Support Spaces for women and girls. Recordings of the events will be published on the organization’s YouTube channel to ensure long-term access to knowledge. A separate component is an advocacy campaign to protect women’s rights in traditionally “male-dominated” professions.

  • The Kharkiv region is a frontline area where a significant portion of the population has lost their jobs, businesses, and stable incomes. Due to the mobilization of men, women often become the primary breadwinners for their families. Women in remote communities and those working full-time have limited access to in-person training, which reduces their opportunities for economic self-fulfillment. The online format will allow us to reach a wider audience, reduce the risks of informal employment, and increase the financial stability of households.

  • ●Enhance the economic resilience of women in the Kharkiv region by providing access to online training and tools for self-empowerment.
●Ensure equal access to knowledge for women in remote communities and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
●Strengthen women’s participation in the labor market, including in non-traditional (“male-dominated”) professions.
●Build the organization’s institutional capacity to scale up women’s leadership and entrepreneurship programs.
