The Kharkiv region remains a high-risk area for women and girls due to the consequences of military action, forced displacement, social instability, and limited access to specialized services. In such conditions, the level of gender-based violence, psychological exhaustion, and social isolation of women is increasing.
The implementation of a network of safe spaces in the city of Kharkiv and communities in the Kharkiv region, including the work of a mobile outreach team, is critical to ensuring that women and girls have access to comprehensive support regardless of where they live. The project contributes to the creation of a safe environment where women can receive psychological assistance, information support, self-defense skills, and resources for recovery and personal development.
Thus, the project meets the current needs of the region, contributes to improving the psychological stability of the population, preventing gender-based violence, and expanding the rights and opportunities of women and girls in communities.
